At the second attempt, I was very pleased to have been successful in obtaining the DPAGB award. The criteria for this standard is images that would achieve a high standard of acceptance in Open Competition. In order to be awarded this distinction, a panel of 6 distinguished selectors assess 15 images and each “rate” (vote on) them.
2 – Does not meet the critria
3 – Almost meets the criteria
4 – Meets the criteria
5 – Meets the criteria for the next level.
So each image can get a total of between 12 and 30, however selectors are encouraged to favor either 2 or 4.
A successful portfolio will be one that scores 300 or more, however panels scoring just under (280+) will be re-assessed to see if any “almost meets criteria” can be upgraded to “meets criteria”
My portfolio scored 308 so passed outright.
Very pleased to have achieved my Third BPE Crown award – This entails 100 Acceptances in BPE National Exhibitions.

I am thrilled to announce a significant milestone in my photographic journey—I have been honored with the prestigious AFIAP (Artiste FIAP) distinction by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). This recognition is not just a personal triumph but a testament to the dedication, passion, and countless hours invested in honing my craft.
FIAP, founded in 1950, is a globally renowned organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the art of photography. With member federations spanning across continents, FIAP serves as a vital platform for photographers to showcase their work on an international stage. Through exhibitions, competitions, and cultural exchanges, FIAP fosters camaraderie among photographers while upholding the highest standards of photographic excellence.
The AFIAP distinction is a coveted title awarded by FIAP to photographers who demonstrate exceptional skill, creativity, and commitment to the art of photography. To attain this prestigious accolade, candidates must have received at least 40 acceptances from 15 different FIAP recognised international salons in 8 different countries with at least 15 different works of photography.
These are the images with which I gained the distinction:

Thrilled with 30 acceptances here, including 2 Gold Medals (For Dover Court) and 3 other awards for Devotion and Sunrise At Cobbolds Point

Travel

After a pretty disastrous day yesterday, I was over the moon to have had 7 acceptances in to the South Birmingham Salon, including all four of my entries being accepted in to the portraits section which is very pleasing since up to just a couple of years ago, I actively avoided taking pictures of people! I was also awarded a BPE Ribbon for Asian Girl.
This takes me to my second BPE Crown award, so I’m super chuffed – That’s 50 acceptances in to BPE exhibitions – On to BPE3 now? That’s going to be a pretty long haul I think!

Wow! So this is a 5 salon circuit each with 3 sections, but must count as one of my best results in international competition.
32 Acceptances!
That’s an average of over 6 images per salon – more than 50% acceptance rate.
I was also given two Bronze Medals and a Honorable Mention. 11 out of my 12 images were accepted across the board and I narrowly missed out on the prestigious FIAP Blue Badge for the Vihti Salon coming equal second with 9 acceptances.
